Content Streaming Summit · Africa 2027 · 23–24 February · Cape Town, South Africa
About the convention
The 7th edition of Africa's streaming summit, in Cape Town.
2027 theme
Profitable growth and the fight for attention
Africa's streaming market has moved past its land-grab phase. Subscriber numbers still matter, but the conversation has shifted to churn, the cost of content, payment friction and, above all, profitability. At the same time, free and ad-supported viewing is changing the field. YouTube is on course to out-earn the subscription services across Sub-Saharan Africa, broadcasters are launching their own FAST channels, and telcos are bundling video into data plans to win and keep customers.
Now in its 7th edition, the Content Streaming Summit - Africa brings together streaming platforms, broadcasters, telcos, content owners, ad-tech firms and investors in Cape Town to work out what a sustainable African streaming business looks like in 2027 and beyond. Expect frank discussion on content investment and rights, pricing, mobile money and telco payments, and the role of AI in recommendation, localisation and marketing.
